Crisálida
Montevideo has a new visitor. On top of a building by Karl Trambauer, a new installation was built where a dome used to be. The project is the result of the work-shop “Adaptation”, where a multidisciplinary group of participants explored the possibilities of parametric design and digital fabrication to create, build and install a complex object in a very short period of time.
This new presence very different from the original dome: it is primitive and complex, an open design, in progress; it could be an apple, a hat, a parasite, a flame, a mollusk, a symbiont, a piece of gum, a sign.
